Our Community

We are a very new community that is hoping to grow into a wonderful gaming community with lots of players. Minecraft isn't our only server, just visit our website to check out what else we've got!

The Server

Features four different worlds, each with a unique gamemode. This includes:

Sky-Islands Skyblock world
Survival Factions world
Towny Skylands world
Creative Plot world

Minecraft Economy

Our Minecraft economy is not easily exploited. We do not let people become powerful and rich very easily. The economy is mainly based in the Factions world. This is where the money is made, and where it is most commonly used.

Our server has a ranking system in which users pay for ranks using in-game currency. (only on factions world)

Ranks:

Peasant: default
Freeman: $10,000
Yemoan: $50,000
Squire: $100,000
Knight: $200,000
Errant: $300,000
Earl: $400,000
Duke: $500,000
Overlord: $1,000,000
Making Money:

On our server, there is a variety of ways to make money.

Killing mobs is an easy way of obtaining currency.
The server has playerheads, and each mob has a chance to drop their head. Players have a 100% chance. All basic heads that you obtain can be sold to our headshop for money.

Shop Information

Servers where the shop is easily exploited and allows players to become rich within a short period of time while still new to the server are the worst. Not our shop, though. The Centauri Legion Factions shop is a system you have to work for. You can sell items to us for a good price, yes, but you have to work hard for them. We don't sell you tools, coal, seeds, bonemeal, ingots, or anything to cheat your way to becoming powerful. You must work your way up gradually. We also give you more money the more time, effort, and resources you put in to your product that you plan on selling to us. For example, if you cook the food that you sell to the shop, rather than sell it raw, it's worth double the money. If you refine ores that you sell to the shop, they are worth double the money! It's a very neat system, and it's all mathematically calculated to ensure that all players have a fair chance at gaining money for honest work while playing on the server.

Hiring Staff
We'd only like the most professional staff members possible.

Our staff must be able to:

Speak fluent English
Use proper grammar
Follow all staff guidelines at all times
Act as mature as possible
Promote a friendly, welcoming environment to the players
Have a great understanding of Minecraft and servers
Moderate the server, ensure all players are following the rules.
Moderate and partake in the forums actively.
Be online daily (not very strict, but we ask that staff are online as much as possible)
Listen to administrators and department heads
Keep profanity to a minimum
Report and deal with all problems immediately
Positions:

Centauri Legion currently consists of two main departments (Minecraft and Garry's Mod)

Each of these departments contains their own staff members, which includes a department head and several moderators. We currently have no staff dedicated to a specific department, only global staff. We are hiring moderators and one department head per department. In order to become the department head, you must first be a moderator, and then the administration must recognize your adept ability to manage the department and all of its servers, staff, players, content, rules, and forums.

Staff commands:

We don't have a full list of all commands that moderators will be getting, but we will not give them commands to cheat and go into creative and things like that. Moderators will definitely be able to:

/fly
/vanish
/kick
/ban
/unban (/pardon)
/mute
/unmute
/broadcast
/jail
/unjail
Though other than these basic staff commands, Moderators are just average players and are also expected to play on the server as any other player would.

The main director of Centauri Legion will also be playing as a regular player once we are completely finished working on the server.

Side Note: All staff join the game vanished. You don't know when they're there, and they can easily log in and moderate the server without anybody even knowing it. This is a player-based community, the staff are just here to help.

How to apply:

Register at our forums and apply under the Minecraft department.

We may not accept you until we grow more popular, as we do not want to have an increasing amount of staff with a low amount of players.
