MaximumCapabilities Hard Semi-Vanilla Survival

Welcome to MaximumCapabilities.
We are a PvP, survival server with organization and rule enforcement. The difficulty of the server is set on Hard, which means that death - damage and despair - are always a threat! Our server is semi-vanilla which means that we try to keep Minecraft as close to survival as possible. You will need to rely on your courage, strength, wits and creativity to do well, but we do supply some commands such as /spawn and /home to help you get started.

The Nature of our Community
We have a great community and recognize and appreciate those who are active in the community, especially those who help with fellow new players Being a good citizen of a server means being kind, saying hello, and being reasonable in your game play.. so everyone has fun.. not just you.

Your experience on this server is completely up to you. You can pvp, grief, survive or build. If you follow the rules and make friends, you'll have a great time. If you break the rules or harass others ( not normal pvp or griefing), then you'll have a pretty difficult time here.. and few friends. The choice is yours. Team playing is encouraged but not required of course.

If you have a question that is not listed here, please feel free to post it below, or join us on the server. Someone should be there who can help you.

One more thing, we are, admittedly, only human. If you happen to see an answer that you feel is not correct or needs to be updated, please feel free to let us know. We will edit the answers accordingly.

Rules of MaximumCapabilities

1. All hacking/modding (other than Rei's Minimap and Optifine) have a ZERO tolerance policy. All hackers that are caught will most likely not be given a warning prior to the ban.

2. Advertising will result in either a temporary ban or a permanent ban.

3. Spamming will result in a mute for however long the staff member who muted the spammer feels appropriate.

4.Disrespect to all and any staff will result in consequences based on the level of disrespect. Punishments range from a mute to a permanent ban.

5. Abusing creative in anyway except building, will result in punishments.

6. Glitching Abuse of the Claims system that involves the miss-use, trapping/killing of players is NOT allowed. You are to use Claims to protect your land ONLY.

7. The taking of nearby land by other players is allowed. It is your job to claim all the land you need, if necessary move away and make another home.

8. Ban appeals require proper format. Any ban appeals without proper format will be discounted and not given another glance.

9. Don't interfere with staff affairs. Leave all business (hacking or breaking rules wise) to the staff. Don't worry, we know what we're doing .

10. Do not pester Administrators/Moderators/Friends/Owner/CoOwner. If we say we will be there in a minute, that means we are in the middle of something, and will be with you as soon as possible.

11. Report all bugs, glitches, and problems to staff immediately. Do not exploit these bugs.

12. Treat everyone with mutual respect. We are a friendly and inviting server, meant to be a safe haven for new players and old players alike.

13. Any sever and extreme inappropriate language/thoughts/actions said against ANYONE in MaximumCapabilities will be Kicked or Temp-banned without warning. If; you are having a "Heated Argument" Argue like educated Sir's. Not children.

14. Using AFK machines will result in kicks.
Ranks you can achieve on MaximumCapabilities:

Survivor (Default)- Achieved by logging on to MaximumCapabilities.
Commands: /Who, /Spawn, /Rules, /Trust, /Msg, /Home, /Sethome, /AFK, /Me, /Mail, /Ignore, /Near


Trusted (Promotion)- Achieved when the time is right, participate in voting for the server, and gaining trust from all of the staff at Maximum. Only given to peaceful, good-hearted people. May not be engaged in heavy voilent, unwanted PvP. You may also apply on the fourms if you really think you deserve it. This is a high status rank.
Commands: Inherits Survivor

Special Ranks you can achieve on MaximumCapabilities:

Advertiser (Special Promotion)- Achieved by helping spread our server on voting links, and "bump" or comment on ourPlaneMinecraft Thread and Minecraft Forums thread to attract more attention. Also Favoriting/Diamonding is optional but much appreciated.
Just get a Staff members attention once you have left positive feedback a few times.
Commands: /Home 2, /Sethome 2 AND Inherits Trusted
***Required to be Trusted and comment and leave positive feedback at least once every 3 days.
Help with Bumping?- Just make an account on the suggested sites, and leave positive feedback.

Builder (Special Promotion)- Achieved by building something stunning, amazing, mind-blowing and amazing. Must be a friendly person with long experience on the server. Must post your qualifying build on the forums, and get our attention.

Donation Ranks you can achieve on

Premium (Donation Rank 1)- Achieved by donating $10
Commands: Inherits Survivor AND /Weather, /Tpa, /Tpahere, /Heal, /Ptime (Change player time), /Sethome 1-3, Home 1-3, /Butcher (Kills nearby monsters)

Supporter (Donation Rank 2)- Achieved by donating $20
Commands: Inherits Premium AND /Gm (Gamemode), /Back (Also used for Back on Death), /ClearInventory

Administration Ranks you can achieve on

Moderator (Administration Rank 1)- Achieved by being chosen.
Commands: Inherits Everyone AND /A (Admin Chat), /Back, /Ban, /Delhome, /God, /Heal, /Invsee, /Kick, /Mute, /Tempban, /Tp, /Tphere, /Vanish

May only PvP in pre-determined agreements and territorial reasons. After warnings and threats, may you kill a player trespassing.

Grief Prevention Claims


Description of the Grief Prevention System

Players use a wooden shovel to claim an area of the world, wherein other players can't build, break, open containers, use crafting blocks, injure animals, or trample crops.


Because other players also can't use buttons or switches, an iron door with a button or switch can prevent others from even entering certain areas.


Claims are also protected from flowing water/lava, and explosions of all kinds. Lava can't be placed very close to another player, and may only be placed either underground, or in amature claim (at least an hour old). These measures prevent PvP via lava dumping, and wilderness grief with lava on hillsides.

How the System Works

You can use a stick (right-click) to check where exactly the boundaries of your claim are.


Using a wooden shovel, you can make expand your claim or create additional claims (see the video above). Use /AbandonClaim to delete a claim you own, or /AbandonAllClaims to delete all your claims at once.


The simple claim sharing command is /Trust, which gives another player permission to build in your claim. /AccessTrust grants access to ONLY buttons and switches, while /ContainerTrust permits a player to access your claim and additionally open your containers (chests, etc) and use your crafting equipment.

Use /UnTrust to revoke any granted permissions, and /TrustList to see who has permission.


You can permit another player to share his permission level with others by using /PermissionTrust. That player can't re-size or delete your claim or use /PermissiontTrust on your behalf, but you should use this command sparingly because you may soon find that many strangers can access your claim.


To clear away all permissions for all players in your claim, use /UnTrust all.


When you log out, you'll be credited additional claim blocks based on the amount of time you were playing on the server. You can spend those blocks when you log back in.


For Advanced Users

Claims may be subdivided so that you may manage permissions for different areas of your claim (think workshops, fields, and residential plots) separately.

To get started, use /SubdivideClaims. You may re-size subdivisions just like you re-size your top level claim, and can delete a subdivision by standing inside it and using /AbandonClaim. To "evict" a tenant and all the friends he may have shared permissions with, use /UnTrust all.
Settlements and everything and you need to know.

Anyone is free to make any settlement they want. Admins will provide a CommandBlock based teleportation system to your town located under spawn.

This will allow easy access to all the towns provided on the server. For use for anyone, anytime. You must first, make the settlement official on the forums *Settlements* section. Once that is made you are all set. Good luck.
